Born in Bulgaria, with Portuguese nationality, she is a dancer, choreographer, researcher, and director and creator of projects such as: TUDANZAS (2012-present), Bacantoh (Barcelona, 2010; and Brazil, 2017), and the LX Contact Improvisation Dance Festival (2017). She holds a postgraduate degree in Dance in the Community from the Faculty of Human Kinetics at the University of Lisbon and is currently pursuing a PhD in Human Kinetics, specializing in Dance, at the same institution. She studied Contemporary Dance at the Ballet-Teatro Professional School in Porto. A meditation practitioner since 2001, she has been teaching Contact Improvisation, Contemporary Dance, Composition, and Improvisation in Portugal, Spain, and Brazil since 2006. She has worked with Sharon Fridman, Sofia Neuparth, Tiago Guedes, Clara Andermatt, Ainhoa Vidal, Madalena Victorino, Sasha Ramos, and Isabel Barros. In addition, Ana also holds a degree in Mathematics and Physics applied to Astronomy from the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Porto, a Master's in the Origin and Evolution of Life from the University of Minho, Portugal, and a Master's in Cultural Project Management from the National Association of E-learning and Distance Education Centers in Spain.
DO COMNON is a housing program by the AND Lab Space, whose main objective is to contribute to the dynamization of Lisbon's artistic and cultural fabric, providing a space for work, dialogue, encounter, research and sharing of practices within the scope of AND Lab's work - Art, Politics, Community. Practices of (self)care and extensive expression-creation are welcomed, such as regular classes/sessions, one-off workshops and artistic residencies. There is also space for event proposals such as study groups, book launches, conferences and lectures, meetings and gatherings, exhibitions and informal presentations, among others.
