Transmedia artist, performer, researcher and educator who works at the intersection of dance, performance, sound and the visual arts. He was born in Togo, grew up in Gabon, has lived in Senegal, Belgium, Holland, Brazil, and currently resides in Portugal. He has received international recognition as a laureate of UNESCO, the Africa Centre, the Sacatar Institute and the Rolex Mentor & Protégé Award. His work has been presented in various theatres, festivals, museums and cultural centres. He has also collaborated with renowned artists such as Peter Sellars and Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. With ‘Agama-Fo’, a pedagogy that aims to create and question contemporary dance and performance, rooted in Éwé epistemology and animist knowledge, she has given talks and workshops at various institutions, dance and theatre companies in different countries. He holds an MA in Fine Arts (DANCE-MFA) from Bennington College, University of the Arts in Vermont, USA, and is a researcher at the Berlin Centre for Advanced Studies in Science and the Arts (BAS), in collaboration with OpenLAB Berlin at the Graduate School of the Berlin University of the Arts (UDK).
Fazer Comum ['Do Common'] is a programme for the habitation of the AND Lab Space, in Lisbon, whose main objective is to contribute to the dynamisation of the artistic and cultural fabric of Lisbon, providing space for work, dialogue, meeting, research and sharing of practices within the scope of work AND Lab - Art, Politics, Community. Extensive (self)care and expression-creation practices are welcomed, such as regular classes/sessions, specific workshops and artistic residencies. There is also space for event proposals such as study groups, book launches, conferences and lectures, meetings and gatherings, exhibitions and informal presentations, among others.
