Translator, dramaturg, deviser, performer, mammal, matter. She graduated in Modern Languages and Literatures – Portuguese and English Studies from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of U.Porto. She completed her MA in Text and Performance Studies with Distinction at King’s College London and RADA. She has sought a wide artistic training which includes artists and practitioners such as Teresa Villaverde, Mónica Calle, Joana von Mayer Trindade and Hugo Calhim Cristovão (Nuisis Zobop), Corinne Soum and Steven Wasson (Theatre L’Ange Fou), Howard Barker, Anatoly Vassiliev, Matej Matejka, Thomas Richards and Mario Biagini (Grotowski Workcenter) and Maud Robart. She has worked with Ensemble, ASSéDIO, As Boas Raparigas, Casa Conveniente, Comédias do Minho, Teatro da Garagem, and Teatro do Vão, as well as with João Madeira, João Sousa Cardoso, Teresa Coutinho, Filipe Caldeira and Paulo Mota, among other artists and companies. She has moved away from theatre in its strictest sense to areas such as improvised music/real-time composition, performance and film. She’s part of the programming team at Queer Lisboa & Queer Porto International Film Festivals. She’s a member of the networked performance group Utterings and of AND Lab’s research group.
