Soraya Jorge is a member and professor of The Discipline of Authentic Movement Faculty - Janet Adler. She has introduced the Authentic Movement in Brazil and Portugal. She created and currently coordinates, with Guto Macedo, the Centro Internacional do Movimento Autêntico (C.I.M.A), which operates in several cities in Brazil, as well as in Lisbon, Berlin and Vienna. She has been researching how the Authentic Movement develops an embodiment of consciousness (somafulness) and how spirituality is incorporated in a political, ecological and ethical way in the process of witnessing life. Over a trajectory of more than 30 years, she has developed a unique way of practicing and transmitting Authentic Movement: as a Somatic Relational Approach, as a Practice of Witness, and as Contemporary Terreiro (Brazilian-African Earth Circle) and Ecology. She holds a degree in Contemporary Dance from Faculdade Angel Vianna, where she has been teaching for over 20 years, both in school and in post-graduate courses. She is a PhD candidate in Dance at the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana da Universidade Técnica de Lisboa. Her work as a Researcher of Movimento do Corpo Sensível (SOMA) is presented in congresses, lectures and workshops. She has collaborated with Fernanda Eugenio in the AND Lab's Practices of Reparation and Testimony since 2015. [https://www.movimentoautentico.com/]
