The hANDling Intensive Workshop offers participants an introduction to the inhabited philosophy of the Modus Operandi AND. In this module, the main conceptual tools that make up the ethical guidelines of the practice will be presented and the basic principles of the AND board game will be shared.

This workshop is led by Fernanda Eugenio, creator of MO_AND and director of AND Lab.

The line-interface hANDling of the School of Reparar focuses on the (trans)formative and sharing dimension of MO_AND as a mediation and composition tool based on the exercise of Repairing, care for the common and an ethic of reciprocity and sufficiency. It offers intensive and extensive workshops for transmitting and practicing the constellation of games and conceptual tools of the Modus Operandi AND. The name hANDling summons up the semantic stain of the verb 'to handle' to signal a double commitment: on one side, to the ethics of handling, as opposed to manipulation, which guides the MO_AND; on the other side, to the giving/offering of our tools, creating situations of transmission-sharing that favor their incorporation through attendance, practice and the cultivation of each practitioner's autonomy and singularity.

GENERAL INFO

• Workload: 10 hours, in 2 sessions of 6 hours with a 1-hour lunch break each;

• Vacancies: 12, 6 of which are for full tuition, 4 for partial scholarships (50%) and 2 for full scholarships;

• Language: the workshop will be conducted in Portuguese, with the possibility of individual clarifications in English or Spanish;

• Prerequisites: none;

• Certificate: a certificate of participation can be issued, upon request, for participants with a minimum attendance of 80%. If you need this, simply request it by email at the end of the process.

VALUES

• Full value: €60 (6 places)

• Partial scholarship (50%): €30 (4 places)

• Full scholarship (100%): €0 (2 places)

Online payment via card/PayPal or offline via MBWay/bank transfer followed by proof sent by email.

SCHOLARSHIPS

• In all Escola do Reparar activities, we offer scholarships for at least 25% of places, for racialized people; PWDs and/or other dissident bodies; LGBTQIA+ people; people affected by gender and/or social class inequalities; unemployed people, migrants or refugees;

• Scholarship discounts are applied to the full course fee;

• To apply for a scholarship, fill out the application form, tell us your profile and motivation for your application and wait for us to contact you with the results of the assessment by the AND team. If a partial scholarship is granted, we will send you the details for payment of the remaining amount of €30.

POLICIES

• Withdrawal: up to 20 days before the start of the activity, full refund. From 20 days before the start of the activity, there is no refund. An administrative fee of 20% of the amount paid will be deducted and the remaining amount will be credited for future registration in another AND Lab activity;

• Image capture: registration presupposes agreement to the collection of images during the process for the purposes of recording, documenting and disseminating the research.
