The continued axis of the School of Reparar opens up the possibility of partial participation (only in the hANDling dimension of the integral formative path), consisting of the chain of intensive and extensive hANDling modules, introducing and unfolding MO_AND, taking place at AND Lab Space in Lisbon.

The name hANDling summons up the semantic stain of the verb 'to handle' to signal a double commitment: on the one side, to the ethics of handling, as opposed to manipulation, which guides the Modus Operandi AND; on the other side, to the giving/offering of our tools, creating situations of transmission-sharing that favor their incorporation through attendance, practice and the cultivation of each practitioner's autonomy and singularity.

Partial participation in the hANDling (trans)formative modules offers a consistent training focused on the constellation of concept-tools and game-practices of the Modus Operandi AND, taking place over 2 months. The starting point is the hANDling intensive workshop, May 10 and 11, in which the main concept-tools that make up the ethical guidelines of the practice and the basic principles of the AND board game will be shared. This workshop is led by Fernanda Eugenio, creator of MO_AND and director of AND Lab.

This will be followed by the extensive hANDling laboratory, with 9 weekly after-work meetings, on Thursdays between May 15 and July 17, which will cover the MO_AND constellation of games distributed into the Interference Zone (focusing on the relational dynamics of society, community and intimacy), the Transference Zone (focusing on the formulation and embodiment of affection) and the Care-Curating Zone (focusing on the body-soma as a territory of reparation). The sessions are led by Fernanda Eugenio and/or Mariana Pimentel, assistant director of AND Lab, coordinator of the AND Lab Brasil Network and member of the AND Collective.

GENERAL INFO

• Total number of places: 8, 4 for full tuition and 4 for a -20% scholarship;

• Workload and duration: 10 introductory hours and 27 hours of practical work, over 2 months;

• Language: the intensive and extensive HANDling modules will be taught in Portuguese, with the possibility of individual clarifications in English or Spanish;

• Prerequisites: availability to complete the entire programme;

• Certificate: a certificate of participation can be issued, upon request, for participants with a minimum attendance of 80%. If you need this, please request it by email at the end of the process.

VALUES

• Full value: €240 — intensive introductory workshop €60 + extensive development lab €180 [4 places]

• Value with -20% scholarship: €192 [4 places]

SCHOLARSHIPS

• In all School of Reparar activities, we offer scholarships for at least 25% of places, for racialized people; PWDs and/or other dissident bodies; LGBTQIA+ people; people affected by gender and/or social class inequalities; unemployed people, migrants; or refugees;

• The discount is applied to the full course price and does not include accommodation and meal costs;

If we are able to grant the scholarship, we will send you the details for payment of the amount of €192.

POLICIES

• Withdrawal: if communicated up to 30 days before the start of the first module (April 10), an administrative fee of 20% will be deducted and the remaining amount will be refunded. In case of withdrawal up to 7 days before the start of the first module (May 3), the amount paid will not be refunded. An administrative fee of 20% will be deducted and the remaining amount will be credited for future registration in another AND Lab activity. In case of withdrawal after both deadlines, the amount paid will not be refunded and will not be credited for other activities.

• Image capture: registration presupposes agreement to the collection of images during the process for the purposes of recording, documenting and disseminating the research.
