The LANDscape retreat-course unfolds as a journey of artistic-political, collective and embodied research into the ethical and commoning tools of the Modus Operandi AND and the constitution of a body of implication in repairing (in) the Irreparable.

Bringing together different relationship interfaces - transmission-sharing in workshop mode; collaborative research-creation; daily attendance at body and relational practices with the surrounding nature; listening, accompanying and caring for matters of intimacy and coexistence - each LANDscape constitutes a unique experience, interconnected as a whole by a durational performative-ritual dimension, which runs through all the propositions, integrating them into a single practical and reflective (per)course and a single emerging dramaturgy of trans-form-action and (self-)repair.

Led by Fernanda Eugenio and with the support of fellow practices by members of the AND Collective, the journey begins with the small-scale AND board games, towards practices in which the body as a somatic-political aggregate becomes a board for games of care-curating-healing, as well as outdoor games dedicated to researching inseparability with a more-than-human biodiversity, in the encounter with beings - herbs and plants, earth and river.

The introductory workshop mode occupies the first day of the immersion. We share the conceptual tools that make up the language, modulation of presence, and ethics of MO_AND, establishing a common ground so that we can, together, risk entering a more complex plane of sensitive and experiential research, at once political and affective, intimate and collective, concrete and magical, of performative-ritual modes of ex-conjuration of the systemic Irreparable over the following days.

GENERAL DATA

• Places and Hours: 4 places for full price, 4 places with a 30% discount, 6 places for the introductory workshop only Immersive experience of 1 week (approximately 10 hours per day, with breaks for meals/rest);

• Language:

  The LANDscape retreat course will be taught in Portuguese, with simultaneous translation into English.

  If there are more than 3 participants with this need, simultaneous translation into French may be included (please indicate your interest on the registration form);

• Prerequisites:

  There is none. However, no prior experience with the MO_AND practices and tools is a preferable factor;

• Certificate:

  A certificate of participation can be issued upon request. If you need this, please request it via email after the retreat course;

• Once the group is set up, we will send you by email information about what to bring, how to get to Catraia do Mouronho (by bus or directly by car), the carpooling schedule, check-in and check-out times, as well as a detailed schedule of activities. Until then, you can find out more about the space on the Trust Collective website (see links at the end of the text).

• Accommodation + Meal >> 200€ (optional, added to the registration/scholarship amount)

SCHOLARSHIPS

• In all the activities of the School of Reparar, we offer scholarships for at least 25% of places, for racialized people; people with disabilities and/or other dissident corporealities; LGBTQIA+ people; people affected by gender and/or social class inequalities; unemployed people; migrants; refugees.

• The discount is applied to the full course fee and does not include accommodation and meal costs;

• To apply for a scholarship, fill out the application form, tell us about your profile and motivation for your application and wait for us to contact you with the results of the assessment by the AND team. If we are able to grant the scholarship, we will send you the payment details for the amount of €350.

In the additional cost of accommodation/meals (200€):

• Accommodation in a double or triple room;

Note: if you choose not to pay for accommodation and meals, you will need to provide your own accommodation and meals, as well as any necessary travel to/from the Trust Collective space.

POLICIES

• Withdrawal: if withdrawal is communicated up to 30 days before the start of the module, an administrative fee of 20% will be deducted and the remaining amount will be refunded. In the event of withdrawal up to 7 days before the start of the module, the amount paid will not be refunded. An administrative fee of 20% will be deducted and the remaining amount will be credited for future registration in another AND Lab activity. In the event of withdrawal after both deadlines, the amount paid will not be refunded and will not be credited for other activities;

• Image capture: registration presupposes agreement to the collection of images during the process for the purposes of recording, documenting and disseminating the research.
