The AND Hap exhibitions constitute temporary meeting areas that periodically open the AND Lab Space to the outside, inviting the public as accomplices and participants in unique situations of sharing what is happening here in terms of creation and research.
AND Hap are activated several times a year, hosting, in the form of a happening, different types of events, ranging from open rehearsals and process displays of the residencies hosted in the Space to proposals such as interventions and performances, lectures and conferences, gatherings and parties etc.
In addition, we also activate the AND Hap interface to periodically share our emerging artifacts and to mark the beginnings and endings of each season of our programming.
Persevere. Learn to stop again. Notice the shine of light between the bricks of the collapsed tower. Discover strengths and issues that guide the work. What fossil? How much missile? Traveling through space in drift in the effort of remembrance and intimate and even, perhaps, cosmic remembrance. Navigating guided by the remains, by the irreparable personal marks and feeling the ricochet of affection: this is the challenge of the project of another assisted living with Fernanda Eugenio and the AND operating mode. Evoé! ("And fly!")
Bete Esteves
Bete lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. She has a PhD in Visual Languages from UFRJ since 2018 where she also graduated with a master's degree in 2009/2011. Graduated in Visual Programming from PUC/RJ (1986), the artist, imbued with the concept of groupality, carries out transdisciplinary installation artistic projects with mechanisms, objects, photography, drawings and videos. She deals with issues linked to the ambience in exhibition spaces. By carrying out artistic occupations in unconventional places, she explores situations that go beyond the already mapped relationships between art and spectator. As she moves, in a reality with which she is confused, she creates an atmosphere and what is clear is that the artist is escaping the norms without, however, ceasing to question them. By interfering with lives and things that inhabit the "environmental laboratories" that she encounters, bete expands the forms of relationships she establishes with the environment, generating intimacy with other worlds and other modes of existence.
Participation is free and there is no registration form. Just show up :)
