No seu quinto ano de actividade, a Escola de Verão AND experimenta sonhar-performar um movimento há tempo muito desejado e ensaia um deslocamento-espalhamento geográfico, duracional e sensível, abrindo caminho para uma edição piloto da ESCOLA DO REPARAR - um novo programa de formação artístico-política, práticas político-afetivas encarnadas e pesquisa coletiva que o AND Lab pretende implantar de modo regular nos próximos anos. A edição piloto será feita de uma tripla modulação: residência de investigação-criação, retiro imersivo no campo e curso extensivo na cidade. De forma experimental, a intensidade vibrante das habituais duas semanas de trabalho da escola de verão dará lugar, em 2020, a um programa alargado que se desdobrará entre Junho e Dezembro, em Lisboa e no Algarve:

🔳 Campo do Vale, Vale da Lama, Lagos, Algarve, 14 a 28 de setembro:

L_AND | Escola de Verão AND, edição #5, com Fernanda Eugenio, Dani d’Emilia, Xana Piteira, Ana Marreiro, Iacã Macerata e Julia Salem. Imersão em modo retiro, deslocada da cidade para a natureza e focada em (re)ativar uma relação atenta com a terra através da experiência sensível da inseparabilidade entre humanos e não-humanos. Inclui alojamento (camping, com tendas fornecidas localmente) e todas as refeições (menu vegetariano/vegano).

🔳 Lisboa, Penha sco Arte Cooperativa, 6 de outubro a 13 de dezembro: 

AND_scape | Curso Extensivo, edição #1, com Fernanda Eugenio, Dani d’Emilia + artistas-investigadorxs convidadxs. Bloco extensivo, com encontros três vezes por semana, focado em como infiltrar e sustentar um modo comunitário no cotidiano urbano, conjugando (auto)cuidado e comparecimento co-responsivo no coletivo.

+ SOBRE A FUTURA ESCOLA DO REPARAR: 

A Escola do Reparar, que em 2020 terá uma edição piloto experimental, pretende ser, no futuro, o programa continuado de formação artístico-política do AND Lab, a tomar lugar anualmente, em diferentes localidades afastadas de centros urbanos e na cidade, entre Portugal e Brasil. Posicionando-se no seio de uma tarefa paradoxal e urgente, entre a irreparabilidade do mundo-como-É e o compromisso ético com sua reparação, a ESCOLA DO REPARAR propõe  conjugar o Modo Operativo AND com outras proposições artístico-politicas encarnadas, ferramentas de composição colaborativa e práticas somáticas, num programa transdisciplinar e indisciplinado, dedicado à articulação entre corporeidade e comunalidade e à invenção-criação de táticas para o desaprendizado da colonialidade arraigada e desigualmente distribuída em cada ume de nós. O projeto se ancora numa tripla modulação do reparar – parar de novo (re-parar), inventário-invenção (reparagem) e cuidado-curadoria (reparação) – e convoca diferentes fazeres para convergirem na reimaginação do que pode o formato-escola, acreditando na pertinência de constituir espaços intersticiais-alternativos para (des)aprender. Ao propor uma escola multilocalizada, transversal e baseada em saberes praticados, a conectar realidades e corpos diversamente afetados pela ferida colonial, pretendemos criar um espaço-brecha dedicado a coletivizar o ato de pesquisar-criar, tornando-o coincidente com os atos de viver-habitar e relacionar-performar. Esta iniciativa surge do desejo de contribuir para um processo que se dispara, hoje, pelo reconhecimento de que já não é possível reiterar um mundo insustentável, apoiado em lógicas predatórias-extrativistas. Torna-se crucial, então, inventar outros modos de fazer escola - e, assim, nutrir a possibilidade de refazer sensibilidades e mundos. Estamos a construir aos poucos as condições para que este programa possa, dentro de um prazo entre um e três anos, se implantar como atividade anual regular do AND Lab.

FIRST CALL FOR THE SCHOOL OF REPARAR 2020 (pilot edition, Portugal)

In its 5th year of activity, the AND Summer School experiments to dream-perform an important and  long-desired step towards a geographical, durational and sensitive displacement-proliferation, opening space for a pilot edition of the SCHOOL OF REPARAR - a new training program in arts, political-affective and embodied practices that AND Lab aims to implement in the following years. The pilot edition will comprise a triple modulation: research-creation residencies, immersive retreat in nature and extensive urban course. In 2020, as an experimental format, the vibrant two-week intensity that we used to inhabit every July within the AND Summer School will be spread along an expanded program unfolding between June and December in Lisbon and in Algarve:

Retreat-mode immersion, displacing AND practices from urban ambiance to nature. Focused in the (re)activation of an attentive relation to the land, throughout the sensitive experience of inseparability between humans and non-humans. The experience includes accommodation (camping) and all meals (vegetarian/vegan).

AND_scape | Extensive Course, edition #1, with Fernanda Eugenio, Dani d’Emilia + invited artists/researchers. Extensive module, with 3 encounters per week, focused in practicing and researching ways to infiltrate and sustain modulations of community within urban everyday life, merging together (self)care and co-responsive collective accountability.

+ ABOUT THE FUTURE OF SCHOOL OF REPARAR:

The School of Reparar, happening as an experimental pilot edition in 2020, aims to be, in the near future, AND Lab’s continuous artistic-political training program, taking place annually in different rural and urban locations between Portugal and Brasil. Positioning itself deeply within a paradoxical and urgent task, in between the irreparability of the world-as-we-know-it and the ethical commitment with its reparation, the School of Reparar proposes to put together the Modus Operandi AND and other artistic-political embodied propositions, collaborative composition tools and somatic practices, in a transdisciplinar and undisciplined program, dedicated to the articulation between corporeality and commoning as well as to the invention-creation of tactics for (un)learning the uneven marks of coloniality ingrained in each of us. The project is anchored in three dimensions that are embedded in the Portuguese word Reparar: stopping-again, noticing, repairing/taking care of (Re-Parar, Reparagem, Reparação). It is a call to multiple and diverse wisdoms and ways-of-doing to converge together in the reimagination of what the school-format can be and do, with a firm believe in the importance of constituting interstitial and alternative spaces for (un)learning. Proposing a multi-sited, transversal and practice-based school, connecting realities diversely affected by the colonial wound, we aim to create a fissure-space dedicated to the collectivization of the act of research-creating, making it coincident with the acts of living-inhabiting and relating-performing. This initiative arises from the desire to contribute to a process triggered, today, by the acknowledgment that is no longer possible to reiterate an unsustainable world, based in predatory and extractivistic logics. It has thus also become crucial to invent and inhabit other modes of school making, through which we may open the possibility for re-calling other sensibilities and worlds. We are slowly building the conditions that may allow this program to be implemented as an AND Lab annual regular activity within the next one to three years.
